McGlynn trusts his Bairns not to be 'Two-Ton Tessie' at Dee as he 'goes against grain' with Dens prep
SELF-PROCLAIMED traditionalist John McGlynn quips a midweek break is essential so his players “can actually handle me for three days running”.
But the 64-year-old is trusting his Bairns to rein themselves in tomorrow in order to tuck into a top-six return come Saturday.
McGlynn will have his Falkirk squad in today instead of their usual Thursday to give them Christmas Day with their loved ones.
No one could say they don't deserve it given they go to Dundee knowing a win would see them leapfrog Aberdeen - and potentially Hibs-back into the top half. The gaffer said: “We like a two-day lead into the game, which is Thursday and Friday.
“We are traditionalist with a Wednesday off because then they can actually handle me for three days running!
“So they get a Monday and Tuesday, I give them a break and they come back in Thursday and Friday.
