Hearts loss was a dose of reality for Raskin

NICO RASKIN says it's not acceptable for Rangers to be 12 points adrift of Hearts as he dubbed defeat at Tynecastle a dose of reality.

The Belgian insists the club have been nowhere near good enough this term.

Sunday's 2-1 reverse to Derek McInnes' side left them fourth in the table, trailing the Jambos, Celtic and Motherwell.

The midfielder, 24, knows it is unpalatable for punters to see their team in that position.

But Raskin admits they have to take it on the chin and attempt to fight back in what is left of the campaign.

Gers face the Steelmen back at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon and Raskin has urged Danny Rohl's men to get on track again.

He's refusing to give up on a title challenge just yet but accepts losing in Gorgie was a huge blow.

Raskin said: "It was a reality check.
