Body found after man goes missing in river

THE body of a man was last night pulled from the River Tay during the search for a missing swimmer.

A man had dived into the water with two friends near Moncrieff Island in Perth on Thursday evening,

The two friends managed to get out after all three got into difficulty but the third man disappeared in the water, onlookers said.

Police last night said a body had been found during a search for the man and that enquiries were ongoing to establish his identity.
