Pay dispute walkouts could hit Christmas getaways
FESTIVE flights from Scotland's biggest airports could be disrupted as fuel delivery drivers plan pre-Christmas strikes.
Grangemouth-based drivers working for Turners (Soham) Ltd are set for four days of action on December 11 and 12, plus December 22 and 23.
It comes after a yearlong pay dispute involving aviation fuel supplies to airlines operating out of Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.
Trade union Unite say there is a likelihood of disruption to flights if the strike days go ahead.
Its industrial officer, Lyn Turner, said: “Turners has made massive profits over the last two years but it continues to offer our members a real terms pay cut.
