Evil dad gets life for killing his tiny baby in care ward

A FATHER who murdered his premature baby son in a special care unit has been jailed for life with a minimum of 20 years.

Daniel Gunter, 27, inflicted catastrophic injuries to 14-day-old Brendon Staddon, including a fractured skull and a broken neck, jaw and legs.

Hospital staff found the boy fatally injured in his cot after his mother, Sophie Staddon, 21, told nurses he was cold at about 4am on March 5 last year.
