Hoof caved in front of Jennifer's skull

A MUM had to have her face rebuilt after being kicked by a horse when she was thrown from the saddle and dragged along the ground by the reins.

Jennifer Landale, 31, had been helping her friend Helen break in a young horse when the accident happened at a farm near Huntly, Aberdeenshire, in May 2021.

Jennifer was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) after her face was "pushed back into her head".

She said: "I fell to the side and mistakenly held on to the reins... I should have just let go.
