DEREK MCINNES reckons table-topping Hearts are starting to ANNOY the doubters.

- BY FRASER WILSON

But his message to his stars ahead of tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash with Rangers is clear: Don't stop now.

McInnes believes the Jambos have a brilliant opportunity to stretch their lead over the Ibrox side to eight points with just 11 games to go after the final whistle.

And even though he has been impressed with Rangers' spending in the January window, the Tynecastle boss is confident his players can produce another massive slap down to the doubters tomorrow.

He said: "I understand why there are still sceptics out there. It's unusual to see Hearts where they are with 12 games to go.

"Early on, when we went top in September, it was, 'Oh good old Hearts'.

"Then October, 'What a good story'. And then November, December...

"But since then, we are starting to annoy a few people, "Why are they still there?'. People can't quite get their heads around it.
