TROON keeper Dale Burgess was the shootout hero as his side progressed to the West of Scotland Cup quarterfinals.

The Seasiders last won the trophy in 2014 and ex-Beith man Burgess said: “It was a very even game from two good sides so to be in the hat for the last eight is great for everyone connected to the club.

“We are sitting at the top of the league and that's the priority - although it would be great to win a cup for the town.
