Daniel family and associates targeted in series of attacks

TWO men plotted to murder members of the Daniel crime clan as part of Scotland's gangland wars, a court has heard.

Andrew Quinn, 32, and James Quinn, 27, allegedly helped wage an eight-month campaign of violence and firebomb attacks.

Prosecutors claim the crimes were unleashed against the Daniels and others linked to the family.

The Quinns are accused of conspiring with associates to assault, endanger the lives and murder 17 individuals between September 2024 and May 2025.

These include James Daniel, Robert Daniel, Norman Daniel, Annette Daniel, Patrick Beatson, David McMillan and Mark Richardson.

As part of the plot, it is alleged firearms and machetes were obtained as well as stolen cars with fake number plates.

Meetings, calls, texts and online contact are said to have taken place to discuss targets.
