The Frenchman was hit with three code violations on the UK's hottest day of the year and called the umpire "crazy" amid a mid-match rant.

During a changeover in the final set, Moutet said to Egyptian umpire Adel Nour: “What is wrong with you? Saying time violations, it is your only job. I am running every day for three hours and you are telling me what I have to do. This guy's crazy. Killing me... you're killing me every day.”

BBC pundit John Lloyd said: “He's lost it. 'This guy's crazy?'. - look in the mirror!” Fearnley won 6-3 2-6 6-2 in two hours and eight minutes to join Jack Draper in today’s last eight.
