Wrexham not in the hunt for big name trio - Ker

WREXHAM director Humphrey Ker has addressed growing speculation linking the club with a string of high-profile signings ahead of their return to the Championship.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are doubtless still basking in the glow of promotion to the second tier, however they have a huge task ahead of them this summer as they try to ready the squad for a big leap from League One.

Speaking on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Ker firmly denied Wrexham were targeting Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy, Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford, or Fulham captain Tom Cairney in the summer.

"Have Wrexham signed Jamie Vardy?" asked presenter Moyles, reading out a fan question.

Ker responded without hesitation: “No.”

Moyles followed up by asking if the club was considering a move for the former England striker, to which Ker repeated: “No.”
