CORONER WON'T ISSUE PREVENTION NOTICE DUE TO CHANGES MADE BY CARE HOME
A WOMAN choked to death after being fed a jam doughnut despite a care plan stating she should not be given bread.
Christine Thomas, 59, died at Glan Clwyd Hospital on February 4, 2023, three weeks after choking on the doughnut at the Swn y Wylan Home in Ebberston Road East, Rhos-on-Sea.
A coroner recorded a conclusion of misadventure at an inquest hearing yesterday.
The inquest was being resumed after the initial hearing in October 2023 was adjourned for further investigation.
