STORM Claudia had a significant impact on Wales in recent days - with the heavy rain bringing flood chaos to parts of the country.

But on the coastline of north west Wales it was the powerful winds that have left their mark.

On Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) off the Llyn Peninsula the winds battered the exposed small island - ripping down gates and roof slates and sending large wooden picnic tables flying.

The island's trust said: "Storm Claudia left a trail of destruction, the incredible force of easterly winds.

"The wardens held their breaths as they assessed the damage, not knowing what was around the next corner."
