Water back for almost all after burst but further issues for some

WATER supplies have been restored for almost all the thousands of Flintshire homes affected by the major mains burst at Broughton last week - but a further problem meant the misery continued for some Shotton residents.

A Dwr Cymru update yesterday evening read: “Following the repair of the burst main in Broughton, we have refilled the network and managed to restore the overwhelming majority of supplies to those areas affected.

“There may be some customers experiencing low pressure or intermittent supplies.

“We are, however, currently dealing with a secondary issue in Shotton which is affecting water supplies to customers in that area.
