Walker in deck shoes saved from dangerous Eryri ridge

SOLO HIKER HAD FORGOTTEN TO BRING THE USUAL BOOTS

A SOLO walker wearing deck shoes ended up on a dangerous ridge after getting lost.

The hiker came to Eryri last weekend with a plan to traverse the Glyderau range.

When they arrived in the national park they discovered they had forgotten their walking boots.

But instead of changing their plans they still set off on the hike in their “deck shoes”.
