MANCHESTER United match-winner Harry Maguire said the victory at Liverpool was worth "more than three points".

The England defender headed home in the 84th minute to earn United a 2-1 triumph.

It also secured Ruben Amorim's first back-to-back Premier League wins as United boss and deepened the gloom at Liverpool, who have now lost four games in a row for the first time under Arne Slot.

Centre-back Maguire said: "It's been a longtime coming. It's been a tough place for us over recent years.

"We know how big it is for our fans. We have the cliché of it being 'only three points' but it is more than three points.

"It's massive for our club, for our fans and it is a great memory they are going to have. The lads are buzzing and as cliché as it is we need to build on it now and make sure to take the confidence from it and take the fighting spirit.
