US tariffs hit Wales harder says FM

WALES faces being "disproportionately affected" by heightened tariffs threatened by Donald Trump, according to the First Minister.

Baroness Eluned Morgan has written to Sir Keir Starmer voicing her worries about the potential consequences for Welsh businesses and the wider economy.

The US president has indicated he will impose tariffs on the UK and several EU nations unless an agreement is struck for Washington to acquire Greenland from Denmark.

According to the Welsh Government, more than 1,000 Welsh businesses, around a third of Wales' exporters, send goods to the US.
