Public urged to have say on road speed changes

A COUNCIL is to consider changing the limit on 38 roads that are currently 20mph.

Local authorities across the country have changed - or are in the process of changing - hundreds of 20mph roads back to 30mph.

These roads went to 20mph when the default limit was introduced in September 2023.

But last year Welsh Government changed the guidance on 'exception' roads that could remain at 30mph.

It has seen some local authorities make scores of changes but others - like Denbighshire - have not adjusted the limit on any highway.
