Hope railway station in Flintshire
A RAILWAY station was closed to the public after police received reports of a sexual assault.
An investigation has been launched at Hope railway station in Flintshire, with the facility cordoned off by police yesterday.
British Transport Police said officers were contacted in the early hours of yesterday morning by colleagues from North Wales Police, who had received a report of a sexual assault at the station on Thursday.
Detective Sergeant Rebecca Haywood said: “We are providing specialist support to the victim while our enquiries are ongoing.
