No trace of gas leak found after scare shut Tesco store

A STATEMENT has now been released after an “eggy” smell triggered a gas leak alert that saw a Tesco store evacuated.

Several residents in Bethesda raised the alarm on Sunday evening over a smell that drifted along the high street and into neighbouring roads.
There were also concerns at the Tesco Express store in the town. This saw staff evacuate due to the smell and Tesco confirmed they had shut the store on Sunday evening.
