- By STEVE BAGNALL Daily Post Reporter

MORE drugthan drink-drivers were arrested in North Wales, during last month's Christmas crackdown, figures show.

North Wales Police said officers made more than 200 drinkand drug-driving arrests in December as part of Operation Limit, the force’s annual Christmas anti drinkand drug-driving campaign.

A statement from the force said: “From December 1, 2025 to January 1, 2026, North Wales Police supported the national policing operation, which is aimed at reducing fatal and serious road traffic collisions and protecting road users, by carrying out targeted activity to stop drivers who are driving while under the influence of drink or drugs.

“A total of 203 arrests were made - 74 for drink-driving and 129 for drug-driving. An increase of 12.77 per cent compared to the same period the previous year.
