'Manipulative' child abuser breached his bail to contact victim

A MAN has been jailed for sexually assaulting a child and making indecent images of children.

Owen Addleton, 22, from Flintshire admitted sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl and was found to have more than 100 indecent images on his devices, some of children as young as two.

North Wales Police began investigating Addleton in March 2024 after a school pupil told staff she was in a relationship with him, having found out his age.

It later emerged that Addleton was in a sexual relationship with the girl, having told her he was 16 years old.

The pair had met on Snapchat after Addleton added the victim, where he asked for nude images.
