NEWCASTLE United are understood to be angry at being forced to play a waiting game over Alexander Isak as Liverpool continue to ponder a bid for the striker.

Isak has emerged as a chief target for the Reds as they refashion their attacking options ahead of the new season.
The player has yet to feature for Newcastle in preseason due to a minor thigh problem that forced him to miss the club’s ongoing tour of the Far East.
