Isak doesn't have the answer to why his Reds career hasn't taken off yet... but vows to fight his way back to his best form

ALEXANDER ISAK has vowed to “fight” his way back to the form that made him a £125million Liverpool striker at the start of September.

- By PAUL GORST

And the most expensive footballer in British history denies he is currently enduring the toughest spell of his career.

Isak moved to Merseyside after a summer-long saga that saw him stay off Newcastle United's preseason tour of the Far East before he trained alone using the facilities of his former club, Real Sociedad, without the permission of boss Eddie Howe.

The No 9 played no part in Newcastle's preseason programme and later made an acrimonious departure from the North East.

That meant he wasn't up to 100% when he completed his mega-money move to Anfield on transfer deadline day.
