YEAR IN JAIL FOR MAN WHO GAVE LOVE BITES TO HIS FORMER PARTNER WHILE SHE WAS ASLEEP

A man who gave a “not fully conscious” woman so-called “love bites” without her consent has been jailed.

Scott Williams gave the woman the marks on her neck and caused extensive bruising.

Williams, 34, of Coedpoeth, Wrexham, told the woman, who had been drinking, to look in the mirror the next morning and asked her if she was planning to go to work “looking like that”.

Williams admitted assault causing actual bodily harm. A judge yesterday jailed him for a year for ABH and added two months from an earlier suspended sentence.

Prosecutor Richard Edwards said Williams had been in a relationship with the woman which ended in 2021. He was made subject to a restraining order protecting the woman on September 19 last year.
