Moyes hails midfielder but still no word on if he'll remain at Everton

- By CHRIS BEESLEY

DAVID MOYES has hailed Idrissa Gueye as being an inspiration to his team-mates but remains tight-lipped on whether the midfielder will be one of the out-of-contract players he wants to keep at Everton when they move into their new stadium.

Gueye, who turns 36 on September 26, has played 207 games for the Blues, including 33 in the Premier League this term, across a couple of separate three-year spells at Goodison Park either side of a stint with Paris Saint-Germain but his current deal expires this summer, along with 10 other players.

His manager has admitted that such a large number of free agents is “too much” and “it will be very hard to change this in one window.”
