Fit-Again ELLIOTT Aiming To Regain Starting Place

HARVEY ELLIOTT says he is aiming to put the 'fluke injury' that has blighted his season behind him in 2025, but accepts it will take time to stake a real claim once more for a first-team place.

Having emerged as one of the outstanding performers of the Reds' pre-season tour of the United States under new head coach Arne Slot, Elliott suffered a foot fracture in September while on England U21 duty, which caused him to sit out some three months of action.

Elliott has yet to start a Premier League game as a result of the setback and admits it was a problem which got worse as it progressed.

However, with the issue now behind him, the 21-year-old is only looking ahead to what is shaping up to be an exciting second half of the campaign under Slot.
