ELFYN Evans arrives in East Africa looking to repeat his victory last year on Safari Rally Kenya and strengthen his lead at the top of the World Rally Championship standings.

After victory in the last round in Sweden, the North Wales driver has a lead of 13 points over Toyota teammate Oliver Solberg in the drivers’ title race.
Kenya stages round three of the championship and will provide a stark contrast to the winter weather of the previous two events in Monte Carlo and Sweden.
The Safari has reestablished itself as one of the toughest challenges in rallying.
While some sections of stage are extremely rough and rocky, others consist of soft sand and can be just as difficult to navigate. Rain can turn the usually dry and dusty tracks into deep, slippery mud.
