Could Moyes strengthen by making moves for Luiz or Ramsey?

But the squad that headed to the Wham Stadium will be markedly different to the one David Moyes names for the Premier League opener at Leeds United on August 18.

Blues boss Moyes is currently overseeing a huge transformation of the squad. He has already sanctioned the permanent £15million signing of attacking midfielder Carlos Alcaraz and the £27m capture of striker Thierno Barry.

With Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic two of a number of players to have left the club at the end of the season, Mark Travers has arrived in a £4m deal from Bournemouth to become backup to first-choice goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
