- By DAVID POWELL Daily Post Reporter

‘The stabbing happened in Bangor, Gwynedd, before the attacker, who was also 16, ran away. It left the victim with a collapsed lung and other injuries, a court heard.

He was taken to hospital in Bangor then Stoke but survived. The court heard a video of the attack was shared on social media.

But the victim says he wanted to face his attacker to tell him: “I am still alive’ The defendant admitted wounding and possessing a knife in a private place.

A judge at Caernarfon Crown Court sentenced him to two years and nine months - most likely in a young offenders institution. Neither the defendant nor the victim can be identified by court order.

The court heard North Wales Police took several 999 calls one evening this summer about youths fighting. A member of the public stopped to give first aid.
