New library opens the doors of opportunity for local children

A CEREMONY marking a new chapter in the lives of vulnerable children, the Ethelbert Child and Youth Care Centre celebrated the unveiling of a much-anticipated library on Thursday.

The initiative, made possible through the generous support of the Sibaya Community Trust, aims not only to provide books but to empower young minds and instill hope for a brighter future.

Vivian Reddy, founder and chairman of Sibaya Community Trust, emphasised the significance of the library, stating: “This project was not just about bricks, shelves, and books. It is about opportunity. It is about giving a child the power to dream bigger, to learn more, and to grow into the greatness that lies within them.”
