Big Jack family open tribute book signed by 20,000 fans
THE family of football legend Sir Jack Charlton have revealed a book of tributes paid to him for the first time.
Some 20,000 fans from across the world wrote personal notes to remember “Big Jack” following his death on July 10, 2020.
The centre half was beloved by both English and Irish supporters after helping the former win the 1966 World Cup before managing the Green Army to the quarter-finals at Italia 90 and the last 16 in the US four years later.
Jack's son John, 66, was presented with the giant book of remembrance by Irish star Paul McGrath in 2022 and it has been under lock and key ever since.
