King on Rome visit amid fury over Andrew's mansion rent

THE King and Queen have arrived in Rome for their state visit to the Holy See, amid growing anger over Prince Andrew's use of his Royal Lodge home.

During their two-day trip to Vatican City, Charles and Camilla will meet Pope Leo XIV for the first time since he was elected to office.

The King, as Supreme Governor of the Church of England, will today become the first British monarch to pray at a public service with the Pope, head of the Catholic Church, since the Reformation nearly 500 years ago.

It comes as Buckingham Palace battles further revelations involving Andrew and his relationship with the late paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
