Terminally ill mother slams vital drug ruling

A TERMINALLY ill mum says she and women like her are being unfairly denied a drug that could extend their lives.

Sophie Blake, 53, says it is wrong that the National Institute for Care Excellence has not approved Enhertu for NHS use.

The drug is available in some other countries, offering up to six months of extra life, but is currently denied to women with HER2-low stage 4 secondary breast cancer in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
