'The best players in the world win trophies'

ARNE SLOT believes Alexander Isak will only become the No.1 striker in the world when he wins the biggest trophies.

The Reds boss reckons they have landed one of the best on the planet in the £125m record signing from Newcastle.

But Slot insists his new No.9 must get his hands on the Premier League and Champions League before he can be put on top of the world.

When asked if he is the best striker in the game, Slot said: “One of them.

“At this moment in time, he isn't - for the simple reason he has been out for four months.
