A HEROINE who trained Allied agents for covert Second World War operations has been buried with full military honours.

Noreen Riols worked for the Special Operations Executive and one of her roles was to act as a honeytrap to test the self-control of trainee spies.

The 18-year-old agent provocateur had to try and seduce the young spies in a British seaside hotel to see if they would talk about their work.

If the recruits did not spill their secrets in the pursuit of romance they were ready to be deployed. But if they disclosed sensitive information, they were barred from service.

Noreen grew up in London and had lived in Paris for nearly 70 years before her death at 98 on January 2.
