DENTISTS and opticians will check people's blood pressure to identify those at risk of heart attacks.

More than 4.5 million Brits are estimated to have high blood pressure, also known as hypertension.

It often has no symptoms but is linked to a higher risk of conditions such as stroke, heart attacks, kidney disease and vascular dementia.
