POLICE began gathering information about visitors to Stephen Lawrence's grieving parents the day after his murder, a public inquiry has been told.
A lawyer for Stephen's father Neville, Ifeanyi Odogwu, spoke at the opening of an inquiry into undercover policing, looking at the Met's Special Demonstration Squad between 1993 and 2007.
