Richard Osman offers hope despite the modern 'loneliness epidemic'

RICHARD Osman believes the country is suffering from a “loneliness epidemic" but reckons that people are never too old to switch things up a little.

In his Thursday Murder Club novels, the TV host and author has created hugely successful characters who are enjoying life in Coopers Chase retirement village.

The stories give hope of meeting new people, even in our autumn years. Richard said: “If there’s one message I want to get out there, it's the idea of 'change’.

“It doesn’t matter how old you are, it’s never too late to change.

“That might be a change in your routine, changing how you live or joining a club. It doesn't have to be one that solves grisly murders!”
