Lewis gets his England reward after sweeping the board in Hull KR'S all-conquering season

SHAUN WANE is ready to unleash Mikey Lewis on the Aussies insisting the Hull KR star deserves his opportunity.

Wane confirmed at Wembley Stadium yesterday morning that Lewis would partner George Williams in the halves for England, getting the nod over Wigan's Harry Smith.

Lewis was man of the match in the Super League Grand Final and after continuing to improve on parts of his game in recent years, Wane has decided to give the 24-year-old his chance.

It's a huge moment for Lewis, who has been third-choice in recent years, with Williams and Smith forging a strong partnership.

It's a big call by Wane too but one he's confident is the right one. "I'm a big Harry Smith fan; I've always picked Harry," Wane said.
