Is it too soon to tell my new bloke I'm in love with him?

We did know each other for a while before dating, as we'd often sit near each other at the back of our local cafe where everyone works on their laptops.

We got talking and found out we worked in the same field and knew some of the same people, and formed a friendship, so it feels like we've known each other a lot longer.

I don't want him to think I'm desperate, though, and spook him. We've made plans to go away for the weekend just before Christmas and I thought about telling him how I feel then, as it'll be romantic and seems the perfect time.
