I remember the crash so vividly...I wouldn't say I'm embracing them but I'm not trying to hide my scars

Medics and Top Gear staff crowd around the upturned roadster with worry etched all over their faces.
Just a few horrifying moments earlier, they'd watched as presenter Andrew Flintoff veered off the track at high speed before flipping over.
Now the England cricket hero, known to millions as Freddie, lies wedged in the Morgan Super 3, yelling in agony.
"I remember everything about it, it's so vivid," Freddie recalls in a new Disney+ documentary, which shows the traumatic scenes for the first time. The accident in December 2022 left the Ashes legend with extensive facial injuries and broken ribs.
Doctors were unanimous: Freddie was lucky to be alive.
In the wake of the crash, he had a number of operations on his face and rarely left his home. When he did, it was with a full face mask and glasses.
And while the physical injuries were horrific, Freddie, 47, says the mental impact was arguably worse.
"I had to have about five or six goes at leaving the room," he tells the Jonathan Ross show tomorrow.
"I had to have a chat with myself in the mirror... I'd not shown myself without a face mask to anyone. It was like starting again."
Now, after months in which he only left the house for medical appointments, he says he has come to terms with the accident, and the scars it left him with.
He explains: "I wouldn't say I'm embracing them, but I'm not trying to hide my scars."
