I looked at her & thought, 'She isn't Madeleine'

MADELEINE McCann's great-aunt says she knew instantly that an alleged stalker was an impostor claiming to be her missing relative.
-
Janet Kennedy met Julia Wandelt, 24, at an annual vigil for her great-niece in May last year, a court heard.
She told jurors: "She said that she was Madeleine.
"I was rather stunned by her approach. I looked at her and thought, 'She isn't Madeleine'. There was no way she was Madeleine at all. I think one’s recognition of someone is something that is intuitive. You just know the person.
"Even though she was nearly four when she was abducted, 17 years later she would still be recognisable, even though the years have moved on.
