Guinness strike may hit Paddy's Day supply

GUINNESS workers have gone on strike and warned of potential St Patrick's Day shortages unless a pay dispute is resolved.

Unite union members in Belfast began an eight-day walk out yesterday after rejecting the latest offer from owners Diageo.

The staff at the site, where the popular alcohol-free Guinness 0.0 is canned and packaged, said they wanted the same wages offered at its sister factory in Runcorn, Cheshire.
