GOLD Cup day at Ascot is a special day in the racing calendar and brings back very happy memories for me.

Big Orange’s victory a few years ago caused me to forget I was on air and run down the track after the horse, leading to me being called a lunatic by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

This year, the family may be celebrating again as Yashin goes for Gold for Michael Bell.

Thankfully, for all concerned, this time round I won’t be able to run after Yashin if he wins as I’m based in the Social Stable by the Bandstand.
