Call from Joel enough to relight fire for Lewis
LEWIS DODD is returning to Super League with a renewed sense of purpose after a bittersweet year in the NRL.
The former St Helens playmaker says one phone call from Catalans Dragons boss Joel Tomkins was all it took to reignite his love for the game.
Dodd made just six appearances for South Sydney Rabbitohs in Australia, cutting his time short just 12 months into a three-year deal to link up with a rejuvenated Catalans side.
They open their 2026 season at home to Huddersfield Giants on Friday.
"Last year was bittersweet," said Dodd, 24.
