England star green light for Lions tour after Leicester injury scare

TOM CURRY has got the green light to head to Australia with the Lions despite his recent injury scare - but he will go under the knife after the tour.

The flanker went off grimacing 23 minutes into Sale's 44-34 loss at Leicester on Friday night (bottom), just 30 hours after being named in Andy Farrell's (below, right) squad for Down Under.

Curry has had a shocking run of injuries since making his England debut in 2017, aged 18, and a hip problem nearly forced him to retire after the 2023 World Cup.
