Starmer in plea to Fifa over World Cup ticket pricing row

KEIR Starmer has warned Fifa its World Cup ticket pricing scandal risks it losing touch with supporters - even after it took action to offer cheaper seats.

The football governing body on Tuesday released a new set of cut-price tickets after a backlash over costs, as we reported, but the Prime Minister has urged it to go further.

Arsenal fan Mr Starmer wrote online: "I welcome Fifa's announcement of some lower priced supporters tickets.
