- BY LUCY THORNTON

Two-year-old Isobel Abigail Maxwell died in the garden of the family home.

An inquest into her death in Doncaster, South Yorks, was opened and adjourned yesterday by senior coroner Nicola Mundy at the city's coroners court.

No provisional cause of death was given in court.

Coroner's officer Scarlett Harrison told the brief hearing the incident was reported to South Yorkshire Police at around 4.45pm on December 25 by the ambulance service.

She said: "There was information passed to the police to say Isobel had unfortunately fallen into a pond at the family home.
