Oliver! actress Shani auditions for Britain's Got Talent, aged 92

AT the age of 92, Shani Wallis, the actress who played Nancy in the Oscar-winning movie Oliver!, is hoping to make a comeback by auditioning for Britain's Got Talent.

Shani is not done with showbusiness and like orphan Oliver said in the film, she made it clear to BGT's judges - please, sir, she wants some more.

She got a standing ovation after singing As Long As He Needs Me from the 1968 film.

After her performance, Shani told the judges: "I was here on this stage 70 years ago but you probably know me as Nancy from the motion picture, Oliver!.

"I wanted to be back on stage doing what I love. It would be wonderful to win."

Amanda Holden was stunned. She said: "I feel really starstruck, that is one of my all-time favourite movies."
